Sprowston Community Table Tennis Club in Norwich, formed in November 2015 and held it’s second training camp at Sprowston Community High School.  This time it was for local junior players and England number 5 Hannah Hicks was delivering the sessions.

Over the two days seventeen players aged 8 to 18 received expert tuition from Hannah and local coaches Chris Cockburn, Stuart Laws and the highly experienced Mark Dare.  With the mixture or ages and coaches in attendance there was a wealth of knowledge and expertise on hand for all.

The sessions were structured in a progressive manor with fun competitions built into the days such as a one point tournament, Korean sets and the weekend concluded with a sixteen player tournament  with every player getting six games and time to put there hard work into practice.  The players attitude was superb and they all worked extremely hard in warm conditions, showing  great potential for the future and Norfolk table tennis.

The weekend was made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship from Norfolk Motor Group (www.nmg.com), who supplied each participant with a baseball gap, sports bottle and towel.

Many thanks must go to the super enthusiastic Hannah, Chris, Mark, Stuart,  Sprowston Community High School and Norfolk Motor Group for giving this opportunity for high level training, a first for many young local aspiring table tennis players.
