Table Tennis England has been joining in the Volunteers’ Week festivities across the country.

Volunteers’ Week is a dedicated event from June 1st – June 7th to help promote and thank volunteers for their hard work and commitment throughout the year.

To start the week some of Table Tennis England’s staff attended the Voluntary Impact Recruitment Fair in Northampton. Staff engaged with local volunteers and organisations and used the opportunity to explore how we can recruit and engage more volunteers in the future.

The GB Para Table Tennis Athletes also joined our campaign and supported Volunteers’ Week on social media, celebrating and thanking volunteers.

Some of the athletes even shared their own experiences of volunteering and why they volunteer.

Awareness of Volunteers’ Week allowed conversation about how Table Tennis England’s staff voluntary experiences happen.

Volunteering is a part of many peoples life and is very important for many different reasons. As part of Volunteers Week three members of staff participated in a voluntary opportunity at Ashby House Care Home.

Thank you Ashby House Care Home for allowing us to volunteer as part of Volunteers’ Week and thank you to GB Para Table Tennis Athletes and everyone that has been involved! Without volunteers our sport would not be the same!

Tweet us on @Pride_Of_TT to share you volunteering experiences!
