A new Women and Girls session has been set up at Leigh St George Table Tennis Club, funded through Table Tennis England’s Be TT program. The new session aims to attract more females into playing table tennis and for the women to become new club members or to provide volunteer support to help the club to continue to grow and develop. It is also anticipated that one of the female leaders will become a Level 1 qualified coach in the new year.

Having attended the session it was great to see mum’s and daughters, ladies from the bat and chat session and other females playing and having a chat, giggle and fun over the table! The session is currently attracting 8-12 new females per week and with more marketing and promotion moving forwards it is hoped that the session will continue to grow.

If there are any females wanting to go along to the session they are more than welcome. The session runs on a Wednesday from 7 pm-8.30 pm at The Spinnings Mill, Leigh and to find out more please contact Chris Garfin 07505 919472
