A Table Tennis England grant has revolutionised Heacham TTC and allowed them to hold their first official coaching session.
The club in Norfolk received a £6,000 grant last year, allowing them to move out of the upstairs one-table room where they had operated for 50 years.
It went towards creating storage space and buying four tables which the club can now use in the main Public Hall in Heacham.
The club has access on Monday evenings, which has allowed them to run taster sessions during the season and, now, coaching sessions run by Steve Goodale.
Club general secretary Malcolm Diggins said: “We now have four new tables, umpire tables, scoreboards and 32 home made surrounds.
“Now the season has finished we are running four coaching sessions and the first one on May 1st was a great success and there are three further sessions during the month.”
