Carol Miles and Alex Mercer have joined the competitions and events team at Table Tennis England.

Carol, who joins as Competitions & Events Manager, brings a wealth of experience from more than 25 years in the events industry, including eight years with the Honda Formula 1 team.

Alex, who is new in post as Competitions & Events Officer, needs no introduction to the table tennis family and is well known at events as an umpire since 2008, qualifying as an International Umpire in 2014.

Meanwhile, Phil McCallum has been contracted to lead the Grand Prix series delivery for the 2017/187 season. Phil is also very familiar with the table tennis landscape, having held a large variety of roles within the sport, including Table Tennis Scotland Performance Director from 2012-16. He has been a member of the ITTF equipment committee since 2015, the ETTU Youth Committee since 2016 and European Director of the Commonwealth Table Tennis Federation since 2016.

The team will be responsible for planning and delivering all national events run by Table Tennis England and be me further strengthened in the coming weeks and months.
