A new table tennis academy for sixth-form students will open in Plymouth in September.
The Talent Development Centre based in the city has announced the launch of the academy, which will be based at Eggbuckland Community College.
Highly ranked juniors Josh Millman, Uther Kingdom and Leon Zacharkiw have already signed up.
Former Czech International Keta Myskova will assist Paul Whiting in delivering the coaching.
Eggbuckland Community College have also launched an elite table tennis programme for year 8s upwards. Children will now train an additional five hours per week during curriculum time in addition to their TDC training.
Meanwhile, Torbay Table Tennis Academy have confirmed as part of their application for the new Performance Clubs Programme that former Polish International Krys Piwowar will join Plymouth Talent Development Centre head coach Paul Whiting and the existing team to assist in delivering the Table Tennis England programme.
The Plymouth TDC is funding the additional coaches from other income streams they have developed with partners and stakeholders without any further funding from Table Tennis England or Sport England, with the aim of ensuring the project’s sustainability long into the future.
