Tom Windram

Tom Windram has become the youngest ever Kent Men’s Singles champion.

Windram, aged 15, was unseeded but full of confidence after winning the Kentish men’s and U21 singles.

And he started in spectacular fashion at The Howard Table Tennis Centre in Rainham, defeating 18-times Kent champion Joe Kennedy – his coach – before knocking out Milan Dobrev in the semis.

That set up a final clash against fellow Wilmington man Chris Bartram, a multiple Kent champion. Bartram took the opening set but Windram won the next three to seal victory.
