Sunday 19th March saw the final day of competition in the 2016/17 Eastern Region National Cadet and Junior leagues held at Stowmarket TTC.

Wensum TTC coaches Sam Rock and Mark Dare said “The events are a great tool for the development of young players and are hugely important to allow us to highlight areas that players need to improve. These areas will then be incorporated into our training programme over the summer.”

Wensum TTC had three teams in action over the seasons four Sundays, one junior and two cadet and were often playing against much older and experienced players.

The Junior team started in division two but gained promotion on Day 3 and on the final day of competition finished fourth in Division one.

The Cadet 1st team yo-yoed between divisions one and two over the course of the season eventually finishing in fifth place in division one.

Finally congratulations to the Wensum TTC Cadet 2nd team for winning division 2. Well done to Thomas Rooke, Alex McRobie and Will Bussey.
