James Lewis scooped the Table Tennis England Coach of the Year award at the PG Mutual National Championships.

The judges were impressed by his range of activities, including:

  • Bournemouth Coaching Officer for 5 years
  • Supported  over 20 new coaches through their coaching courses
  • Co-ordinated the Dorset School Games and ESTTA Schools events each year with over 200 participants
  • County Cadet and Junior Team Co-ordinator
  • Bournemouth NCL and NCL Co-ordinator of 8 teams
  • Supported Paul Whiting in Developing the Bournemouth South West Development and High Performance Centres
  • Founder and Director of Dorset Table Tennis Centre and Academy
  • INSET trainer to Staff in over 20 Dorset Schools
  • A level and GCSE Officiating Teacher
  • Committee member of the PZ and PING Strategy Teams
  • Supported the setting up of 10 Satellite Clubs in and around Dorset
  • Assist with the running of the Poole Pairs attracting over 30 new players each week
  • Coach of Park School which were National Champions of the ESTTA Schools Team Event in 2014

Joola Plymouth, Debbie Whiting and Roger Bowkett were all runners-up in their respective categories.
