David Morley has been an absolute stalwart as far as the Knighton Park Table Tennis Club is concerned in Leicester.

Having overseen the club’s move to much larger premises four or so years ago he continues to broaden his exploits having initiated a group of new players, forging them into the East Midlands Special Olympics team.

His weekly sessions over the last few years have brought spectacular results with his everlasting patience and dedication, and it is gratifying to see the joy gained by all the players as they progress in skills far beyond anything they imagined.

The club decided to take part in Table Tennis England’s Pride of Table Tennis award scheme this season and David was a unanimous shoe-in for his work for the club, not only on the coaching side, but all the other aspects he helps with. This include such things as essential advice about the building itself which is a Grade Two Listed Building needing special care.
