Paul Drinkhall has climbed to a new personal high of No 32 in the world rankings.

He moves up from No 58 in the latest list, which has been published now that the table tennis competition at the 2016 Rio Olympics has drawn to a close.

Paul’s victories over Aleksandar Karakasevic, Gao Ning, Andrej Gacina and Emmanuel Lebesson with a W1 weighting have earned him an additional 121 points on the world ranking list.

Team GB’s other players have also made signifiant strides.

Liam Pitchford goes up from 48 to 44, while Sam Walker rises to 117 from 131.
