This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme is ‘nature’, so we’re showcasing a variety of outdoor table tennis tables set in scenic environments so you can connect with nature while you play!
Described as a magical tree garden, where you can explore trees from all over the globe, Westonbirt Arboretum set in the heart of Gloucestershire is a fantastic location for outdoor table tennis!
“The table tennis table has been a really popular addition to the site at Westonbirt Arboretum. From the day it arrived it’s constantly been used by visitors of all different ages. It’s great to give people more reasons to get outside and enjoy all the benefits that brings.”
– Martyn Reeves, Active Forest Coordinator
Established in 2001, Arkwright Meadows Community Garden is a thriving community project. The Gardens are a green oasis within walking distance of Nottingham City Centre. The perfect place to couple physical activity and nature!
“The tables have been a great addition to Nottingham ever since Ping! came here. They have been a real talking point in some of the most iconic places in Nottingham all the way down to the local parks. They’re a great way to combine exercise with fun.”
– Lawrence Uttley, Nottingham City Council.
Salcey Forest, Northamptonshire
This magnificent woodland has many miles of ancient wood banks, building remains and ancient trees. The ‘druids’, or veteran oaks, are rare and amazing wildlife habitats, and some of the old oaks are over 600 years old. Have a go on one of their two tables set in this beautiful landscape!
Caldecotte Lake, Milton Keynes
Packed full of beautiful parkland, you’ll find a Ping! table located next to the stunning lake, and you might be able to spot a variety of water birds and other wildlife while you play!
Woodthorpe Grange Park is an impressive large green space that sits on the edge of the city. You can find one Ping! table next to the children’s play area surrounding by beautiful trees.
Jesus Green is an area of open parkland grass, north of Cambridge city centre, home of one of the last remaining outdoor lidos in England, and the longest at 91 metres in length. The Ping! table has an inspiration setting right next to the River Cam.
