Table Tennis England has welcomed Doug Livingstone, Dee Paterson and Mark Quartermaine on to its Board of Directors.

The trio have taken up their positions and will serve four-year terms.

Doug Livingstone is a league table tennis player with a background in accountancy, who has most recently been part of the senior management team at the Homes and Communities Agency, the government’s housing, land and regeneration agency, and was responsible for ensuring the agency meets government transparency requirements.

Dee Paterson is also a finance professional, most recently working as a CFO in the aerospace research sector. She has represented Great Britain across a range of canoeing disciplines at European and world level, is a qualified UK Anti-Doping educator and experienced coach in a variety of sports including canoeing, sailing, swimming and rowing. She has also been a Team Leader and coach at the Youth Olympics.

Mark Quartermaine has worked in the IT and telecoms industries for more than 30 years and is an experienced executive who has played key roles at large corporations including IBM and BT, and was most recently CEO of Alternative Networks plc. A league table tennis player in his youth, he has a table at home and is also a keen cyclist.

Table Tennis England Chairman Sandra Deaton said:

We had a very strong field of applicants and we’re delighted to welcome Doug, Dee and Mark, all of whom bring different skills and backgrounds from both sport and business, to the Board.

They will undoubtedly all make key contributions in the years ahead.

This is another step on the way to ensuring our governance structure is fit for purpose and meets the requirements of the Government’s mandatory code for sports governance.
