The ITTF World Tour Swedish Open starts today – with five of England’s top players competing.

The event in Stockholm starts with the Under-21 Men’s Singles when England’s Tom Jarvis takes on India’s Jeet Chandra. Jarvis is No 33 on World U21 list, while Chandra is 71. The match will be played on table three at 10.20am UK time.

Jarvis will then play Spain’s Joan Masip in the preliminary round of the Men’s Singles at 3.50pm UK time. Jarvis is world ranked 277, while Masip is 470.

Andrew Baggaley (No. 437) is also playing in the Preliminary Round 1. He takes on Portugal’s Diogo Chen (No.210) at 3.50pm UK time.

On Tuesday, Liam Pitchford, Paul Drinkhall and Sam Walker join the action in Preliminary Round 2, which is due to start at 1.30pm.

Liam Pitchford (World Ranked No. 23) takes on Denmark’s Anders Lind (No. 96), Paul Drinkhall (No.78) will play Japan’s Yukiya Uda (No. 108) and Sam Walker (No.89) is up against Sweden’s Par Gerell (No.133).

Preliminary Round 1 of the Men’s Doubles also starts on Tuesday.

At 7pm UK time, Drinkhall & Pitchford will play Marcelo Aguirre (PAR) & Thiago Monteiro (BRA) while Jarvis & Kanak Jha (USA) take on Sharath Kamal Achanta (IND) & Sathiyan Gnanasekaran (IND). At 7.40pm, Walker & Tobias Rasmussen (DEN) take on Ham Yu Song (PRK) & Jang Woojin (KOR).
