Cippenham’s Shae Thakker proved he is a star in the making by carrying all before him at the SportsAble Southern Disability Grand Prix.

At the tender age of just 11, Shae reigned supreme, cheered on by friends and supporters at his home club.

On Saturday, he won the double of his Class Singles and the Junior Singles. Then, on Sunday, he did the seemingly impossible by going though the draw and winning the Open Singles.

In the final he beat Welsh para international star Joshua Morgan 15-13 in the fifth and deciding game after a pulsating finish in which both players had and lost championship points.
