The search is on for young people (aged under 19 on January 1st 2016) with a disability that would be interested in competing in the School Games.

Each of the five regions that compete in the school games is required to have 3 disabled players in their squad. There must be one competitor from each of the following categories; classes 1-5 (wheelchair users), 6-10 (standing) and class 11 (learning disability).

School Games alumni include international sports stars Paul Drinkhall, Hannah Cockroft and Ellie Simmonds. Current table tennis players include Nicko Anderson, Megan Shackleton, Jack Hunter-Spivey, Ashley Facey-Thompson and Billy Shilton who have all progressed into the BTTAD performance pathway squads.

If you are interested in taking part, or know someone who might be, please email [email protected], where we can provide more information of how to get involved.
