World No 6 Jun Mizutani was too strong for Sam Walker as he ended the English player’s run at the Slovenia Open.

Mizutani – part of the Japan team which beat England in the World Team Championships semi-finals this year – won in five sets in the last 16 of the Men’s Singles.

Walker was always in the match and took the third game, but top seed Mizutani prevailed 4-1 (11-7, 11-8, 8-11, 11-8, 11-9).
