Scores of youngsters representing 25 teams showed off their skills at the University of East London’s SportsDock.
The most exciting final was the Under-13 girls, with a points countback needed to separate Wallington Girls from Addey and Stanhope after it ended tied on 14-14 in games. Wallington Girls built up a 3-1 lead before Addey and Stanhope clawed back to 4-4. With the teams tied on games, Addey and Stanhope took the victory 254-241.
Coldfall eventually won the Under-11 Boys category, beating Holland House 5–1 in the final. Both teams topped their respective groups, with Holland House winning 14-13 on countback after drawing 4-4 with Whitgift in the semi-final.
The only other category to feature group and knockout stages was the Under-13 Boys, Where Wallington defeated Ernest Bevin 6-0 in the Final. University College took third place, overcoming Morpeth in the play-off.
Whitgift took the clear victory in the Boys Under-19, winning 7-1 against Ernest Bevin in a group of just the two teams.
The Under -16 Girls also featured only two teams, this saw Wallington Girls narrowly take the victory over Morpeth 13-12 on countback after a 4-4 draw.
The Boys Under-16 category was played as a round-robin with Ernest Bevin enjoying a 100% record, winning all four of their matches. Whitgift took second, losing only to Ernest Bevin.
Of the five teams in the Under-11 Girls, Fox Primary were the clear winners again with a 100% record. Barnes Primary sat in second, after losing to fox 0-8. Sir Thomas Abney were awarded bronze after a three-way tie.
All winners and runners up have earned their place at the Regional Finals next month.
