Commonwealth Games bronze medallists Danny Reed and Kelly Sibley and up-and-coming para player Dan Bullen inspired dozens of young players at a special event in Bedford.

The England pair, who won the medal at Glasgow 2014, and Bullen, who is part of the British Para Table Tennis Pathway squad, were at Lincroft School in Oakley for an evening organised by Revolution TTC. They were also joined by leading veteran player Sara Williams.

They showed off their skills in a series of exhibitions, culminating in a ‘battle of the sexes’ between Sibley and Reed and featuring some brilliant rallies.

Then it was the turn of the youngsters to show what they could do, with the international players on hand to offer coaching and encouragement.

The event was organised by John Alsop of Revolution TTC, which is based at the school and is the home club of Mike Perry, CEO of National Championships sponsors PG Mutual.

Tickets are still available for the PG Mutual National Championships, although only a few remain for the final day on Sunday March 5 – click here to buy tickets.
