Paul Drinkhall is in Halmstad for the European qualifying event which begins tomorrow (Tuesday).

The world #68 will face Carlos Machado (#92), Florent Lambiet (#201) and Ibrahim Gunduz (#308) in Men’s Singles Qualification Group 11.

Dinkhall’s first match will be on Table 1 against Belgium’s Florent Lambiet at 11.40am (Swedish time) tomorrow.

He will then return at 4.40pm to play Turkey’s Ibrahim Gunduz, and his final group stage match is on Wednesday at 12.40 against Spain’s Carlos Machado.

Two out of three victories should mean he will progress into the main draw on Thursday, where he will join fellow GB player Liam Pitchford.
