As of October 1, the ITTF Regulation governing advice given by coaches to players during matches has changed.
The new Regulation applies to matches conducted by and on behalf of National Governing Bodies, including in the case of Table Tennis England the National Championships, British League, County Championships and ELCC. It does not apply to local league matches, unless the league has adopted the ITTF regulation itself.
The ITTF has produced a guidance document to help players, coaches and officials to better understand the Regulation. This document can be downloaded below and includes a link to FAQs on the ITTF website.
The new Regulation is part of a wider Regulation governing advice during matches, a complete version of which is also attached below, with the relevant paragraph underlined.
