Charlotte Carey leads the seeds on home ground at the Cardiff Satellite Grand Prix this weekend.
The Welsh international heads a women’s field which has a top four all from the Principality – Megan and Angharad Phillips and Beth Roberts making up the rest of the leading quartet.
By contrast on the men’s side of the draw, Darius Knight is No 1 seed is a top 10 which is something of a League of Nations, with no fewer than seven nationalities present.
Among them is Artur Daniel of Poland, a semi-finalist at the season-ending London Grand Prix in June, along with representatives from Japan, Nigeria, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
The event is at the Sports Wales National Centre at Sophia Gardens.
