The Welsh team have announced a strong squad to attend the Heritage Oil Open.
The women’s team includes Charlotte Carey (WR 221), who lost out 12-10 in the fifth to England’s Tin-Tin Ho (also ranked 221) in an epic encounter at the World Team Championships in Tokyo. Megan Phillips, Angharad Phillips, Chloe Thomas and Nicole Hall will also be there.
On the men’s side, despite rumours that Ryan Jenkins may retire from Grand Prix table tennis he has confirmed that he will compete alongside his brother Stephen Jenkins, Daniel O’Connell and Conor Edwards at the Heritage Oil Open.
The organisers would like to thank the Welsh Association for their support and wish them the best preparations for the Commonwealth Games.
BBC South Wales will also be attending to follow the progress of some of the Welsh team members.
Spectating tickets are free. Semi-finals and finals will be played at BT Sport studio on Monday 7th July and will be televised and broadcast on BT Sport on Saturday 12th July from 2-4pm.
