Table Tennis England is inviting businesses to make a positive contribution to their local area by donating a Ping in the Community table tennis package to deserving local groups or organisations.

These packages include a table, bats, balls and lots of other resources to help introduce and embed table tennis into the community; and have been shown to help to connect people, overcome social isolation, reduce anti-social behaviour and enhance physical and mental well-being.

With many organisations expressing a commitment to support local charities, the hope is that the table packages, branded with the donor’s logo, will forge great relationships between businesses and their local community.

Jade Griffiths, Participation Programmes and Insight Officer at Table Tennis England explained:

We believe that there are many businesses out there who will relish the opportunity to help the health and well-being of their local community through table tennis. Our Ping in the Community packages are fun to implement and the impact of them will be tangible and immediate – all through the power of ping pong.

How to get involved

If you know of a group in your community that would benefit from introducing table tennis; perhaps a youth club, older people’s group or village hall then why not ask your employer whether they might be able to get involved.  Or if your company has a charity partner that would like to offer table tennis to their clients or beneficiaries you can donate a Ping in the Community package from as little as £200, giving them everything they need to get started and established. Tables can also be branded with your company’s logo, or contain other messages you would like to get to members of your community.
