Will Bayley’s victory over Jordi Morales sealed a 2-1 over Spain and put Great Britain into the semi-finals of the men’s Class 6-8 team event in Rio.

Britain, who earlier in the day beat Belgium in the first round, had to come from behind after Ross Wilson & Aaron McKibbin were beaten in the doubles.

Wilson started the comeback by sinking Class 6 world champion Alvaro Valera and Bayley completed the task against Morales, who he had beaten on his way to gold in the semi-finals of the individual event.

Britain face Ukraine at 6pm UK time on Thursday for a place in the final.

However, there was disappointment for the other GB teams, who all exited at the quarter-final stage on Wednesday.
