Manchester’s Amanda Winskill is the Good Samaratian. A table tennis player of note in English circles, having represented the county of Lancashire on numerous occasions and being a familiar face in the Women’s British League, she is one of the many volunteers on duty at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
However, Amanda Winskill is not just any volunteer; she is a very special volunteer and through her caring actions, she stands out from the crowd.
She was awarded the “Mayor’s Golden Ticket”, for a selfless act and concern for a fellow human being; the outgoing and charming lady from Manchester, enjoyed lunch in the Athletes Dining Room on Monday 6th August in recognition of her efforts.
