Can you help us find a super-volunteer who has poured their heart and soul into our sport over at least 15 years?

We’re looking for nominations for the Contribution to Table Tennis category in our Pride of Table Tennis Awards.

The award recognises the outstanding contribution to table tennis by someone who gives their time and talents to enable others to participate and succeed over many years. It is open to nominees of any age but must be for a recognition of at least 15 years of service to the sport.

Our previous winner was Don Evans, who was responsible for running Droitwich Spa TTC since 1977. He attended every home league match for all eight sides which play in the league, ensuring that the sports hall was cleared of all other equipment, before setting up the hall with enough tables to go ahead with matches.

He coached every Thursday evening, ran weekly community sessions and is also Chairman of the Bromsgrove and Redditch Table Tennis League. Don also ran a table tennis marathon in aid of a machine which helps treat prostate cancer.

After more than four decades of contributing to table tennis in the area, he has now decided to take a step back from running the club.

Do you know an inspirational individual who is worthy of a Pride of Table Tennis award? If so, now is the time to nominate them – and we’ve extended the deadline for two weeks to give you more chance to make sure your local heroes are not missed out!

Nominations close at 11:59pm on Sunday October 18.
