Nottingham Trent University’s table tennis programme will have a presence at this weekend’s Junior British League fixture at RAF Cosford.

The university staff will be on hand to answer questions from talented young table tennis players who are planning their university applications.

NTU has a hugely successful table tennis programme, with both men’s and women’s teams having several times won the BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) cup in recent years and also claimed medals at the European Universities Championships in the last two years.

Three NTU students also achieved a total of five medals between them at the British Senior Six Nations in November – Emma Vickers and Chris Doran (England) and Alice Loveridge (Guernsey).

The table tennis programme has close links with both Nottingham Sycamore and the University of Nottingham – the latter allowing students to train twice a week with England National Coach Alan Cooke. East Midlands Coach of the Year 2013, Gordon Fearne, who has coached a number of national and Paralympic champions, also works with the students every week.

If you are the JBL, you will have the chance to visit the NTU stand. Alternatively, for more details, please email [email protected]
