Job Role: Interim Chief Executive / CEO – Maternity cover

Salary: £50,899 (pro rota)

Location: London based

Term: 4 days a week, minimum 6 months

The Interim CEO will have overall strategic, managerial and operational responsibility to ensure the continuing growth of this charitable organisation as the key link between the sports, disability, and health sectors. The Interim CEO will continue to develop the charity into a self-sustaining agency, increasingly funding and income by its own commercial ventures.

Interactive (Disability Equality in Sport) is a pioneering charity with a mission to create a society where sport and physical activity is an intrinsic part of a disabled person’s life and where disabled people are at the heart of sport and physical activity. The organisation is an energetic advocate of disability equality in sport.

The Interim CEO will be educated to degree level and be a respected leader with a strong track record within a senior management role. The Interim CEO will have experience of strategy implementation and impact assessment.  They will also have experience of business development, generating income and funding from a variety of external sources with a strong understanding of the sports and / or disability sectors.

The Interim CEO will be financially and commercially literate with experience of the preparation, monitoring and management of organisational budgets and accounts. The role also requires experience of devising and implementing marketing and communication strategies, raising the organisational profile positively and political influencing / public affiars.

The Interim CEO maternity cover is for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 1 year.  We would expect the appointment to be able to start by the middle of June 2014.
