Four English players, led by European Under-21 doubles champion Tin-Tin Ho, are in the six-strong GB squad for the World University Games this summer.
University of Nottingham student Ho is joined in the women’s line-up by Emily Bolton from the University of Bedfordshire, and Welsh player Chloe Thomas, who is at Bournemouth University.
The men’s squad comprises another Nottingham student, Josh Bennett, plus Helshan Weerasinghe (University College London) and Scotland’s Colin Dalgleish, of Robert Gordon University.
Table tennis is the first sport to name a squad for the event in Naples, which takes place from July 3 to 14. Also travelling are Team Leader Aled Howell and coach Craig Bryant.
