EPPA World Record Attempt
The newly reformed English Ping Pong Association (EPPA) will attempt to break the official Guinness World Record for ‘most people participating in a table tennis rally’ on the afternoon of Sunday 20 November 2011 at Bethnal Green’s Rich Mix arts centre, and we are inviting you to take part. We reckon the current record of 101 participants – even though it’s held by a German table tennis pro and 100 Chinese table tennis students – is ready to be toppled, and we’re inviting players of all abilities to take part. All you’ll need to do to become a World Record holder is to legally return the ball to the other side of the table, and then cross your fingers that at least 101 of your fellow participants manage the same. More information on the current record and how we plan to break it can be found at the EPPA website.
If you want to be the best, if you want to beat the rest, dedication’s what we need. Please sign up now if you are definitely able to commit to being present at Rich Mix from midday on Sunday 20 November and to sticking with us for multiple attempts on the record.*
Please also forward this email to anyone you know who might like to join you in the record books. Food and drink is available from Rich Mix, and we will have DJs and practice tables available on the day, so why not get together a group of friends to hang out together on a Sunday afternoon. SIGN UP NOW.
*Circumstances can change, but please let the EPPA know if, after signing up to take part, you can no longer make it.
Many Thanks – see you on the 20th Nov from noon!
