Table Tennis England has appointed Sport:80 as its technology partner to develop a new online platform which will evolve the way we administer the sport and engage with people participating in table tennis across the country.

The new platform, known as the Table Tennis England Membership Platform, will aim to provide members with all the tools they require to manage their online engagement with the sport, beginning with membership registrations and renewals from the 2019/20 season.

The vision of the partnership is to work towards a single platform whereby members will be able to manage their table tennis profile with ease, enter all TTE sanctioned tournaments online and view up-to-date results and rankings among a host of other features.

Sport:80 were selected as Table Tennis England’s new technology partner after a robust tender process which involved detailed independent and in-house assessments.

Sport:80 has a proven track record of delivering systems of this nature for a wide variety of other National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs) and sports organisations including Archery GB, British Fencing and British Weightlifting.

TT365, the current provider, will continue to provide the membership system until the end of the 2018/19 season, when its contract is due to end. TT365 was one of several companies to submit a bid under the tender process.

The announcement is in respect of the ‘back-of-house’ Table Tennis England membership system and does not affect the League Manager platform run by TT365. Table Tennis England pays for this service in order to keep it free for clubs and leagues and it is subject to a separate agreement. Click here to read more about this.

In the coming months we will continue to release updates with regards to the new platform including progress on tournament entry and ranking system which will be trialled during the 2018/19 season.
