The Midlands Club and Volunteer conference took place at Villa Park, Birmingham, on 6th October. It was a chance for delegates from clubs, leagues, and counties to network and share best practices.

The event proved a success, with talks surrounding growing the game for women & girls, mass participation projects, including the successful 10 years of ping campaign. The conference also included an update regarding changes made to coaching and the full launch of TT Kidz for clubs across England.

Event attendees left with new ideas for how to grow the membership (specifically women and girls). Also, how to encourage volunteers to continue to support the sport given their crucial importance.

79% of individuals that attended the conference strongly agreed with the following statement:

“Attending the Club and Volunteer Conference has given me new ideas about how my organisation can develop and provide great table tennis experiences for new and existing players, as well as volunteers.”

Next up is the North-East Club and Volunteer conference taking place at Durham County Cricket Ground on Sunday 24th November, which you can book your place now.

The event is free to attend, but booking is required and limited to two spaces per club/league.
