Table Tennis England Technical Director Alan Cooke will delve into the relationship between coach and player in the latest in our series of free coaching webinars.
Alan, who reached a high of No 27 in the world during his playing career and has coached England men’s and women’s teams, will look at how coaches can focus on the fundamentals of table tennis and basic technique as well as building a relationship with a player and how that develops over time.
The webinar will include:
- A discussion about the impact and role a personal coach can play in a player’s career.
- A coach’s opportunity to be a part of the journey with the player and with that develop their own knowledge and skills within the sport.
- How the influence continues but can play a very different role for the very successful players.
Joining the webinar will be England star Sam Walker, who will be sharing insights into his journey and the role that his personal coach (Howard Knott) played and continues to play as a top international player.
The webinar is free to coaches of Level 1 and above at starts at 1pm on Tuesday April 21. The webinar is limited to 60 per session.
