Seven British athletes are heading to Spain today to compete in the Costa Brava Para Open which begins tomorrow in Platja D’Aro (March 5-8) as the qualification period for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games enters its final few weeks.

They include Joshua Stacey (men’s class 9) and Billy Shilton (men’s class 8), who took gold and silver respectively at the Polish Para Open last month, and 2018 World Championship bronze medallist Tom Matthews (men’s class 1), who showed signs of a return to form in Poland after a 2019 season disrupted by injury.
