Volunteers from the North West are currently being sought to undertake a variety of roles at the 2015 Sainsbury’s School Games taking place at Manchester Tennis Centre, Sports City (next to the Etihad Stadium) from 3rd to 6th September 2015. Volunteers should ideally live within 30 min drive of the Manchester Tennis Centre and be able to travel to and from the venue each day.
Table Tennis Volunteers (14 years or above)
Table Tennis volunteers are required to assist with a wide variety of roles including: team parades, back of house support, court assistants and medal ceremonies.
- Volunteers must be 14 years or above at the time of the Games.
- Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult (ratio tbc)
- Training will be provided – general and role specific (date to be agreed).
- All volunteers will receive kit and accreditation t-shirt and hoodie.
- Lunch will be provide during each session.

Team Attachés (18 years or above)
Four Team Attaché are required to support two of the eight Table Tennis Teams at the Games.
The role includes providing practical support to Team Managers (TM’s) as required, to ensure every athlete has a high quality experience at the Sainsbury’s School Games.
This is a key support role for the Games and enables a real insight into the work of a Team Manager and the operations of an Athletes’ Village at a multi-sport Games. It is a great opportunity to get a feel for and to be a part of one of the largest sporting events in the country.
