A record number of applications to the Be TT programme have resulted in 51 projects being awarded funding in Year 3 of the initiative.
A total of 66 submissions were received from 51 PremierClubs, 14 leagues and one joint bid. Each was able to apply for up to £750 to support projects focused on one of the following areas: Women and girls, under-11s (including TT Kidz support) and short format leagues.
Of the applications, 45 included under-11 projects, 28 had women and girls’ elements and 23 included shorter format leagues. Many of the applications had more than one element.
A total of 51 projects were supported by Table Tennis England, with grants ranging from just under £200 to the full amount of £750. The clubs and leagues we are working with are listed below.
Jenny Leach, National Delivery Lead for Table Tennis England, said: “Year 3 is very exciting with the launch of TT Kidz and the growing work from the Women & Girls working group.
“There are some really great Be TT projects being delivered and I look forward to seeing the impact of them in the local table tennis communities.”
Be TT is a support programme for PremierClubs and Leagues to build better experiences for those who play coach, volunteer or officiate in our sport. The programme is led by extensive research and data around playing habits across the country, supporting area staff to provide focused support and trial new club management tools and programmes.
The initiative was launched in 2017 and has already provided some of our most forward-thinking clubs and leagues the chance to receive focused staff support and trial exciting new club management and data tools.
