Table Tennis England director Priya Samuel is part of a top-level panel opening up the Sport & Recreation Alliance Annual Conference.

Priya will join Sports Minister Nigel Huddleston MP, Sport England CEO Tim Hollingsworth and Mike Farrar, former CEO of the NHS Confederation, for the first session of the conference on Monday.

The theme of the first day of the week-long online conference is The Road Ahead, and the panel will reflect on the current sport and recreation landscape, identifying what we can learn from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic over the past six months. The panel will also take questions from the ‘virtual’ floor.

Priya, an independent non-executive director of Table Tennis england, said: “This is a great opportunity for Table Tennis England to share the work it has been doing over the past six months of the Covid-19 outbreak with other UK sports organisations.

“It’s great to be able to share good practice and innovative programmes, and to allow cross-sport learning so we can support each other in times of trouble like this.”

More than 300 delegates from across the sport and physical activity sector have registered for the Conference. The first session runs from 10am to 11.30am on Monday and there are sessions every day for the rest of next week. Click here to sign up.
