Jiawang Song tops the seedings for the Preston Grand Prix as he looks to repeat his triumph at the season-opener in Crawley.

Song defeated England’s Commonwealth Games medallist David McBeath in the final at K2, but his nearest rivals for the second GP of the season at the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre are Tianyuan Liu and Ning Jing, with former England youth international Sam Mabey the fourth seed.

Crawley winner Hannah Hicks is not in the field for Preston, where the seedings are led by Haoyu ‘Jenny’ Liu, a Grand Prix winner from previous seasons, ahead of Hui Tay, England’s Mollie Patterson and Anna Hursey of Wales.

The Preston Grand prix takes place on November 3 and 4. As ever, the Banded events take place on the Saturday, with the Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Under-21 and Veterans’ events on the Sunday.
