B-Batt Pavilion kept their title campaign on course as they won all four of their matches on a frantic weekend at the Halton Stadium.

B-Batt, who began the weekend as league leaders, were never in danger of slipping up as they romped to victory in all four matches. The team of Chris Doran, Michael O’Driscoll, Helshan Weerasinghe and Niall Cameron were simply too strong as they ended the calendar year with an emphatic statement to their competitors.

Despite their dominance, B-Batt still find themselves just a solitary point ahead of their closest rivals Sycamore, who more than matched B-Batt’s dominance at Halton TTC. Buoyed by the return of Matt Ware, Sycamore’s talent was evident to see as they comfortably won all their matches to keep the title race extremely tight going into the second half of the season.

Meanwhile, an improved performance from Barrow Tornadoes saw them leave the foot of the table after picking up a win and two draws over the weekend. Barrow’s improvement proved costly for Kingfisher, who after slumping to four successive defeats, find themselves at the foot of the table.
