Tom Jarvis notched up another impressive result, sinking the world No 73 as he reached the quarter-finals of the Polish Open.

Jarvis saw off Jakub Dyjas, ranked 103 places above him – coming from 2-1 down to beat an opponent who was performing in front of his home crowd.

It put Jarvis into a Challenge event quarter-final for the first time in his career, and the 19-year-old faced another Pole in Marek Badowski.

However, Jarvis could not repeat the victory against a player ranked at No 123 as Badowski won in five to move into the last four.
