Kelly Sibley is the current England women’s number 2 and winner of a number of home national tournaments. She won a Gold medal in the World Team Championships in China as well as her first National Title. Recently she won 10 international matches in a row at the 2011 European Championships in Poland as she helped the Women’s team to promotion to the top tier. In the process she beat world number 78 Elena Tikhomirova.

When/how did you get involved with table tennis:
I first started playing at the age of eight at my local table tennis club back in Leamington spa called ‘Lilllington Free Church’. The reason I got involved with table tennis was because my mum used to play.
What does the Olympics mean to you?
The Olympics have always been a big dream of mine as I have always been into sport. So to be able to compete in the biggest sporting event in the world is just going to be amazing and a dream come true.
