The search is on for a Hometown Hero of table tennis to be one of the faces of the next Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games advertising campaign.

Organisers are asking people to head to the Birmingham 2022 website to nominate those who deserve to be recognised for making a difference to their communities by dedicating their lives to grassroots sport.

Nominees could be an inspiring coach, dedicated volunteer, courageous player or diehard supporter, or anyone who’s had a real impact on their sport club, team or facility. They must live and work in the West Midlands.

The Hometown Heroes will be chosen from different sports and different parts of the West Midlands, celebrating and reflecting the rich diversity of the region. The best of the nominations will star on billboards across the region in 2021, as the countdown to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games begins.

Visit www.birmingham2022.com/hometownheroes to nominate. Nominations close on Friday November 6. T&Cs apply.
