THE NEW SEASON

There will be forty teams competing in the Clacton and District Table Tennis League next season, two more than last year. The Windsor Club has lost two teams but there two additional teams from both the Brotherhood and Nomads Clubs. Once again, the League will operate on three Divisions:

Division One: Brotherhood A and B; Nomads Panthers, Jaguars and Lions; Windsor Condors, Eagles, Falcons and Kestrels; Walton A, B, C

and D (13 teams).

Division Two: Brotherhood C, D, E, F and G; Nomads Tigers, Cougars and Ocelots; Windsor Harriers, Owls, Ravens and Magpies; Lawford

(13 teams).

Division Three: Brotherhood H, I, J, K, L and M; Nomads Pumas, Leopards, Bobcats, Wildcats and Lynx; Windsor Kites, Penguins and Swallows; (14 teams).

The season starts on Monday 17th September with the last scheduled matches taking place on Friday 3rd May.

The Handicapped Doubles Tournament will take place on Saturday 24th November, the Handicapped Singles on Saturday 26th January, and the Closed Championship on Saturday 27th and 28th April, all at the Coastal Academy Sports Hall.

The Knock-Out Cup Final will be played on Tuesday 7th May at the Brotherhood Hall whilst the date and venue for the Junior Combination Tournament has yet to be decided.

The League will be running five teams in the Essex Inter-League – Mens (Team Secretary, Felipe Rodriguez), Juniors (Ferdy Rodriguez), Veterans (Colin Webber), Super-Veterans A (John Stubbings) and Super-Veterans B (Colin Beaumont).

Players are reminded it is their personal responsibility to register with the ETTA. This can be done on-line, by post or by telephone. Any queries should be referred to League Secretary Annabelle Rodriguez

Any player without a team for next season should contact Annabelle Rodriguez. In particular, there are vacancies for players of Division One standard.
