Time is running out to get your entries in for the 6th NatWest Jersey Open (taking place on 6-8th April) and with the prize fund swelling, you could be in for a big win!

The current minimum prize fund stands at a mighty £2,500 and, with each new entry, that continues to rise. However, the closing date for getting your entries in is nearing so don’t forget to fill out your entry form and send it before the deadline on March 24th.

The Jersey Table Tennis Association’s President Chris Band (pictured above) is keen for everyone to get involved: “As the closing day approaches on the 24th of March, entries are coming in very well for our increasingly popular NatWest Jersey Open at Easter. Having said that, I urge those players and supporters who haven’t yet booked to do so immediately to avoid disappointment.”

With the benefits on offer in Jersey, it’s something not to be missed as Mr Band explained: “With each entry that comes in the prize fund of £2,500 swells while all the team events on Good Friday and the Banded and Open Singles on the Saturday and Sunday receive prize money too.”

He added: “Last year’s Men’s Singles Champion for example walked away with a whopping £525! There are also masterclasses in the week leading up to the Open led by Brian Kean so players can hone their skills before the main event.”

As a satellite Grand Prix it remains a very important date in the National calendar and the facilities in Jersey are excellent. If you need travel or accommodation help Mr Band explains where to look: “Travel to Jersey is available from a huge number of airports all over the UK and from the ferry ports on the south of England. Details are available on www.jersey.com and advice and help with getting to the Island is available from the organiser by e-mail [email protected] or by phoning 01534 733440.
