Table Tennis England has named a squad of eight to compete at the Euro Minis Championships in France this summer.
The group includes three who won titles at the recent Under-11 to Under-14 National Championships in Sheffield – Jamie Liu, Ruby Chan and Jasmin Wong.
Under-11 and Under-12 champion Liu will compete in the Under-11 Boys’ event, alongside Rhys Davies, who he beat in the Under-11 final.
The Under-11 girls’ line-up comprises the two finalists from Sheffield – champion Chan and runner-up Sophie Chiang.
The Under-12 boys’ team is Joshua Weatherby and Tom Rayner. Weatherby lost to Liu in a five-set thriller in the Under-12 semi-finals in Sheffield, while Rayner was beaten by Liu at the same stage in the Under-11s.
Representing the Under-12 girls are Nationals champion Wong and Darcie Proud, who was beaten by Wong in the semi-finals in Sheffield.
Coaches Nick Jarvis and Emma Vickers will travel with the squad.
The competition takes place in Schiltigheim, near Strasbourg, from August 28-30.
