The bottom half of the draw was pretty uneventful as far upsets were concerned. In the top half Will Maybanks coming out on top against higher seed, Michael Marsden fromTees sport, who was made to work hard both on and off the court, and Sean Cullen getting the better of David McBeath were the only events to go against the bookies odds. Keeping the ETTA proud was the new Yorkshire Regional Development Manager Shaun Marples, going through 4-2.
