Sam Mabey prepares to receive serve at the Polish Youth Open

Sam Mabey enjoyed a good run to the quarter-finals of the Junior Doubles at the Polish Youth Open.

Playing alongside Medardas Stankevicius of Lithuania, the pair made their way through three knockout rounds, including coming from 2-0 down to beat a Romanian pair 3-2 in the last 32.

Their run was ended in the quarters by a pair from Taipei.

In the singles, Mabey made it out of his group and was then beaten in the last 64 by Jiri Martinko of the Czech Republic.

In the team event, Mabey played alongside Isaac Zauli and Rafael Torino of Brazil. The trio were eliminated in the group stages.
