Lorestas Trumpauskas felt that his side should have left with more after Fusion’s 4-4 draw with Ormesby.

Trumpauskas’ side led 4-3 going into the final set of the match, however Daniel O’Connell’s four game victory over Matthew Dodds secured a point for Ormesby on their own patch. While a point was a respectable result against third placed Ormesby, Trumpauskas felt his side should have won given the absence of Welsh number 1 Ryan Jenkins in Oremsby’s ranks.

“We had a chance to win but we didn’t take it. With Jenkins not playing we had a chance to take a win but unfortunately we didn’t get it. It’s a crucial point though with the bottom five teams being close and that could be vital by the end of the season.”

England’s number one veteran picked up an impressive victory over Yangbo Zhang to propel his side into the ascendancy at the midway point.  However, his defeat to Michael Marsden, a game that he led two sets to nil, proved to be costly.

“I had a chance to beat Michael Marsden but it didn’t go that way and it was a crucial game. It was a crucial point because we could have won but I didn’t get it. But I’ll try to win as many as I can now. I feel in good shape and hopefully I’ll win many more games.”
