After four over-subscribed London Ranking Tournaments, three at the London Academy in Edgware and one in the spectacular new Greenhouse Centre in Marylebone, this highly popular event returns to the Greenhouse Centre on Sunday January 27 for the first tournament of the new year.

Organised by London Ping and in close partnership with Greenhouse Sports, The London Academy, Brighton TTC and West London Ping, the tournaments seek to tap into the wonderful enthusiasm that communities have shown for the Ping England phenomenon.

Offering six bands of ability, the ranking tournaments have been attracting both highly competitive performers as well as complete beginners. Parents and relatives are particularly welcome as are friends, siblings and teachers. The bands are based solely on ability rather than age or gender. This helps to create a very friendly atmosphere at the tournaments though of course each band is fiercely competitive.

Every win accrues ranking points and every player gets five ranking points just for registering. Players can follow their ranking progress on the londonping website where the top 500 players are listed.

Now is the time to register via the simple online booking system – click here to register.

If you can’t make the January tournament there is another one coming up on March 2 at the London Academy and yet another on April 28 hosted by Brighton Table Tennis Club. If you have access to at least 10 tables and wish to host a satellite ranking tournament just contact [email protected] or ring Jon Kaufman on 07803 082661.
